America needs no words from me to see how your decision in Roe v. Wade has deformed a great nation. The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. It has portrayed the greatest of gifts—a child—as a competitor, an intrusion, and an inconvenience.

Fr. Jim, in his homily from last Sunday, quoted a statistic that makes my stomach turn:
In the 31 years since the Roe v. Wade decision, over 45 million children have been aborted. That’s over seven times as many Jewish people as died in the Nazi holocaust, and this is going on in the midst of the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave. Forty-five million children who will never see the sun, or chase a dog, or grow to adulthood, or fall in love, or share their daily bread.
Pray for an end to abortion.
