President Bush has backed Saddam Hussein into a corner. Saddam has demonstrated that he can be ruthless in the treatment of his enemies and to his own people. For the last 15-20 years, he has tried to develop and obtain weapons of mass destruction, from biological and chemical to nuclear. After the Gulf War in 1991, the United Nations inspectors had found evidence of the biological and chemical weapons, and discovered attempts to develop a nuclear device.
My imagination has haunted me over what could happen. Here is a list of some of my worst-case scenarios.
-
Biological and/or chemical weapons will be used on the troops in field.
-
Scud missiles will be launched into Isreal, Kuwait or Turkey (or even into Iran) with biological/chemical warheads.
-
Scud missiles with biological/chemical warheads will be launched into Iraqi cities that have been occupied by invasion forces.
-
A dirty-bomb, or worse, a nuclear device is denoted in an Iraqi city that has been occupied by invasion forces.
-
A dirty-bomb, or worse, a nuclear device is denoted in Kuwait City, or a city in the United States, or in Europe, or any where in the world.
-
Arabic youth will find this war as a reason to strike back at America and her allies with even more contempt than Al Queda.
I pray to God that none of these come to past.
