From yesterday’s entry in God Calling:
Jesus, hear us, and let our cry come unto Thee.
That voiceless cry, that comes from anguished hearts, is heard above all the music of Heaven.
It is not the arguments of theologians that solve the problems of a questioning heart, but the cry of that heart to Me, and the certainity that I have heard.
Father, I ask for the grace to be in the present moment, to live in the now where You are.

It is not the arguments of theologians that solve the problems of a questioning heart, but the cry of that heart to Me, and the certainity that I have heard.
I know this cry. It is often without words. It is even at times without emotion. It is a calling of the heart to you out of loneliness, out of emptiness, out of ache. On better days, it is out incompleteness, out of imperfection, out of want. All of it is a call out of love, for love.
Nasty is only one letter away from tasty.
What is an iHermit? an internet hermit.
I have given up visiting, reading and commenting on weblogs, blogs, online journals, forums, list servers, etc. I still use the internet for resources and references for my job, yellow pages, maps, and occasional email with job, family and friends. But not for anything else, except to write this journal.
For me, the internet has become full of noise, distractions from the one important thing. And so I isolate myself on the internet. I am an iHermit.
This location is my solitude on the internet. It is a place for prayerful reflection and writing. In a very limited way, it is like a poustinia.
Be still and know that I am God. (Psalm 46:10)
And so, I prayerfully turn inward in order that I may turn outward as a more perfect reflection of You.
